ACTIVE PCP - Pre-CommerciAl ProCuremenT of Innovative Personal ProtectiVe Equipment for First REsponders

First responder organisations, including police forces and firefighters, are confronted with a new era of threats, such as complex CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive) incidents and hazardous material (HAZMAT) environments. These threats can arise from situations like terrorist attacks or accidents involving dangerous goods. These incidents are very demanding and extremely difficult to manage. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is a key to successfully manage such scenarios. It is obvious that at the moment personal protective equipment is missing several important characteristics and features that become more and more relevant for first responders. To overcome the current situation the project will run an innovation procurement process for R&D services which will significantly improve personal protective equipment.

Pre OMC
KEMEA – in cooperation with SYNYO -  is working on an upcoming proposal to run an Innovation procurement process for R&D services for developing Innovative Personal Protective Equipment for First Responders. 

In this framework, you are invited to participate to the (pre) Open Market Consultation (OMC) event, taking place online, on the 12th of November 2024, from 13:00 to 15:00 CET. 

The OMC event will bring together suppliers and end-users, in order to understand the main proposal objectives, to highlight the current shortcomings that first responders have in the PPE domain and to identify how the market meets these needs.
